Rust servers tagged for new players

Because the tag comes from the server's name, and anyone who rents a server can put a word in that field. It is not a rating and not a check of the owner's conduct. Use it to shortlist, then confirm the details on the server's page.

Enough to keep the map alive but few enough to find quiet ground, which is the middle of the range rather than either end. A stable count across the wipe cycle suggests regulars rather than a spike of new joiners. Check the population history for movement, not just the live number.

Usually, yes: if the name does not mention a multiplier, the server most often runs at standard Facepunch rates. A modest 2x is common on servers that do advertise one. Raised rates belong in the Modded section, so a server claiming 2x while sitting in the vanilla tab is worth a closer look.

Early in a fresh wipe, so the map has room and everyone starts from the same point. The Next wipe column shows how long you have before the reset. A server that wipes weekly gives you more chances to start again than one on a monthly cycle.
