Terms of use

By using Rust Insights, you accept the terms below. They explain where the data comes from and what we do and do not promise.

The site comes as it is. Rust Insights collects server data from Steam's public Rust server list and from servers directly, refreshing every five minutes. We work to keep it accurate, but a server can publish a late wipe time or a misleading name, and a player count can lag behind the real figure. Read each number as a snapshot of one refresh, not as a guarantee.

Browsing is free and needs no account. You can read every page, including the server browser and the live player count, without registering or paying. Please avoid sending rapid repeated requests, because that slows the site for everyone else. If you need the full dataset, write to hello@rustinsights.world and we will discuss it.

Crawlers and AI tools may read the site. Check robots.txt and llms.txt first, since they set out what is where. Keep your request rate reasonable so that ordinary visitors still get fast pages.

For server owners. A server appears here because it is on the public list. Its page shows what the server itself publishes: name, tags, wipe times and player slots. To change what the site displays, change it on the server. Most edits appear at the next refresh, within five minutes.

These terms can change. We may update them without notice. The date at the foot of this page records the last change. If you continue to use Rust Insights after that date, you accept the updated terms.

Questions

What readers ask

Does Rust Insights guarantee that its server data is accurate?

No. Every figure is read automatically from Steam's public list or from the server itself, then refreshed every five minutes, so it reflects a snapshot rather than a guarantee. Servers can report a wipe late or publish a name that misleads, and player counts can lag. Check a server's own page before you rely on one number.

Do I need an account to use Rust Insights?

No. You can browse and compare servers without registering or paying. If you need a bulk copy of the data, email hello@rustinsights.world to discuss it.

How does my server's page get updated?

A server appears because it is on the public Rust server list, and its page shows what the server publishes: name, tags, wipe times and player slots. To change what the site displays, change it on the server. Most edits are picked up at the next refresh, within five minutes.
