Privacy policy

Rust Insights asks you for no account and sets no cookies of its own. This page explains what is still recorded when you load it.

Access logs

The site has no sign-up and no login. The web server keeps ordinary access logs: your IP address, the address of the page you requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. Those logs exist to keep the site online and to see which pages are used. They are kept for a short period and then discarded.

Local storage

If the site lets you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is stored in your own browser using local storage. It stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Cloudflare

Every request to rustinsights.world passes through Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site. Cloudflare sees visitors' IP addresses and may set its own security cookie when it checks for bots. That cookie belongs to Cloudflare, not to Rust Insights.

Fonts and third-party files

Fonts are served from this site. Where a page loads a file from a public code host, such as country flags on the force wipe page, your browser fetches that file from the host, which receives your IP address and browser details. No Google services run here.

Cookies and analytics

Rust Insights sets no cookies of its own. There is no analytics script and no advertising tracker. We do not build a profile of you and we do not sell or share visitor data, because we hold none to sell.

Server data

Everything shown about Rust servers comes from what those servers publish to the public server list and return to direct queries: names, player counts, settings, descriptions and images. You can open any server's figures on its server page. None of it describes individual players. Player counts are totals, not lists of who is online.

Questions

What readers ask

Does Rust Insights use cookies?

Rust Insights sets no cookies of its own, and there is no analytics or advertising script on the site. Cloudflare, which delivers and protects the site, may set a security cookie of its own when it checks for bots. That cookie is Cloudflare's, not ours.

What data does Rust Insights hold about me?

There are no accounts, so we hold nothing tied to you as a user. The web server keeps short-lived access logs with your IP address, the pages you request and your browser type. Those logs are used to keep the site running and are discarded after a short period.

Does Rust Insights track individual players on Rust servers?

No. The server figures come from public server lists and direct queries to those servers, and player counts are totals rather than lists of who is online. Use the live player count page to see what those totals look like across the network.
