Editor's note
This table lists servers tagged vanilla and not tagged modded, so you get the game as Facepunch ships it: 1x gather, no kits, no gameplay plugins. Official and community servers both qualify.
The filter is the point. Facepunch puts any change to gather rates or gameplay in the Modded tab, so a 2x server that calls itself vanilla is not here. Use the columns to check what each server actually runs, not what its name suggests.

Worth knowing
The wipe columns show what a server publishes, and published schedules slip. A server marked monthly can still wipe weekly by its own rhythm. Sort by next wipe to see who is due, then read the last wipe date to judge how fresh the current map is. Every server gets the forced update wipe regardless of schedule.
Population tells you when a server is alive, not how it plays. A European server peaks in the European evening, whichever region you connect from, so the region column matters more than the rank. Most of these servers leave the default team limit of 8, and the group column shows the exceptions.

What readers ask
What counts as a vanilla Rust server here?
A server that runs the game unchanged and publishes the vanilla tag without the modded tag. Facepunch classes any gather-rate or gameplay change as modded, so those servers are excluded. Official and community servers are both included if they meet that test.
How often do these servers wipe?
There is no single answer. Some follow the monthly forced wipe only, many wipe weekly or fortnightly on a set weekday. The next wipe and last wipe columns show what each server publishes, and the forced wipe applies to everyone on the first Thursday of the month.
Why is a popular server missing from this list?
Most likely it is tagged modded, or it runs changed rates without saying so. Others may not be public, or may not publish tags at all. You can find them through the full server browser.
Do vanilla servers allow large teams?
Usually yes. The default team limit is 8 and most vanilla servers keep it. A few enforce solo, duo or trio caps, which the group column shows, so check that before you pick a home.

Rank and the default order measure different things. This table is busiest first, from the live refresh every five minutes. Rank compares player counts hour by hour across seven days, so a server that fills every evening sits above one that only spikes after a wipe.
That gap separates a server you can settle on from a wipe-day crowd. Sorting is a snapshot; ranking is a pattern.
The vanilla tag is self-reported, so treat it as a claim to verify. Open a server page to see its address, settings and history before you commit. If you want slightly faster gather, the 1.5x list is the next step up.
