5x Rust servers, explained

It means resources are gathered five times faster than vanilla. Mining one node gives five nodes' worth of ore. Many 5x servers also add kits or faster crafting, but the gather rate itself is the defining setting. You can confirm it on the server's own page if the name is unclear.

There is no fixed pattern. Some 5x servers follow the monthly force wipe, others wipe weekly or every two weeks. The Next wipe column shows each server's published schedule, refreshed every five minutes. A server without a schedule may still wipe at force wipe.

Almost all are listed in the Modded tab, because Facepunch requires any server that changes gather rates to be marked modded. A 5x server outside that tab is breaking the rule. The vanilla tag in Rust refers to difficulty, not rates, so do not rely on it alone.

Yes, but check the Group column. Many 5x servers keep Rust's default team limit of 8, which can mean running into groups. Some set a limit of 2, 3 or 4, which is easier for a solo player. Use the search box to filter for 'solo' or 'duo' in the name.
